More than 50 million people across more than a dozen states have been warned to stay at home as a massive blizzard bringing more than 2ft (60cm) of snow and strong winds moving up the US East Coast.
As it is expected in Washington the capital of US the snow could reach under estimations the 76cm by the time the storm passes on Sunday.
The huge blizzard caused the death of 8 people and 10 states declared emergency.
During the huge snowstorm 7000 flights have been cancelled for Friday and Saturday, more than 100,000 homes lost power in North Carolina, while Washington's transport system - the second busiest in the US - will close all weekend and supermarkets ran out of food amid a rush for supplies before the first snowflakes fell on Friday.
