Millions of residents began digging out from a massive snow blizzard that brought Washington, NY and other northeastern cities to their knees.
Because of the snow blizzard at least 19 people.are dead and the residents in New York, Washington and other states are waking to a thick blanket of snow.
The snowstorm has paralysed transport links mostly in New York and Washington DC and the householders dug themselves out of drifts up to 40in (102cm) deep.
The storm, that has affected some 85 million people, cutting power to 200,000 people is reffered as Snowmageddon and Snowzilla on social media and is heading for the Atlantic Ocean.
