World Health Organization: International emergency for Zika Virus

An international public health emergency declared on Monday the mosquito-borne Zika virus the World Health Organization (WHO).
Zika virus is responsible to thousands of birth defects in Brazil, and the authorities and international organizations are searching ways to respond on this emergency.

According to Reuters, Margaret Chan, General Director of WHO said that is needed an international action to improve detection and expedite work on a vaccine and better diagnostics for the disease and noted that it was "strongly suspected but not yet scientifically proven" that Zika causes microcephaly.
This alarming results pointed out the fourth time that the WHO has declared a global health emergency since the alert of influenza, Ebola and polio.
